Obituary

Paul Mammarella, age 86, of Brownsville, PA passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2019, after a short battle with cancer.
Paul was born on March 5, 1933 in Brownsville, PA, son of the late Nick and Celia (Cecelia) Mammarella. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Tony, Ike, Richard and Carmen; and sisters, Lucille and Virginia (infant).
He is survived by his son, Mark A. Mammarella and his wife Nancy, of Brownsville, PA; daughter, Paula A. Mammarella, of Bethlehem, PA; three grandchildren, Marc R. Mammarella, of Pittsburgh, PA, Megan L. Mammarella, of Bel Air, Maryland and Matthew T. Mammarella, of Brownsville, PA; sister, Marie McCarthy, of Fairfax, VA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Paul was a Tank Mechanic in Germany during the end of the Korean War, serving in the US Army.
Family and friends will be received at the Skirpan Funeral Home, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, PA 15417 on Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and on Friday, August 23, 2019 from 9-10 AM, when a Blessing Service will be held in the funeral home with Rev. Fr. Thumma Fathimareddy officiating. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery where Full Military Rites will be accorded by The American Legion Posts 940, 838, 295, and 275. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Hillman Cancer Center - Uniontown. www.skirpanfuneral home.com.
