Carol Ann (Meese) Assad

Carol Ann Meese Assad, of Brownsville, PA passed away  on Monday, March 11, 2024.

She was born on May 12, 1947 in Brownsville, PA to the late George and Enis Augustus Meese.

Carol worked at the Brownsville General Hospital for over 30 years.

She owned, operated and was the administrator of Cloverdale Personal Care Home in Masontown, PA for over 36 years with her son by her side.

Carol was the past treasurer of both Brownsville Midget Football and Brownsville Little League Baseball long after her own sons played.

Carol was a fabulous baker who loved to share her pies and cookies with family and friends every holiday.

She lived for her two grandchildren and her priority was taking care of her family.  She worked her entire life caring for others and did it with compassion and love.  Sunday dinner was a priority for her to have her family around her table.

She was preceded in death by her husband Andrew Assad, Jr. and her son William Assad.

She is survived by her devoted son, Andrew George Assad and wife  Jennifer Capatosti Assad,

                                granddaughter, Taylor,

                                        grandson,  Hunter;

                                   two brothers,  George Meese, Jr. and wife Roberta,

                                                           Gary Meese and wife Julia;

                                      nephews,  George Meese, III and his sons Tyler and Kolton

                                                       Gary Meese, Jr. and wife Cora and their daughters Grace and Eve Meese.

Friends will be received in the Skirpan Funeral Home, 135 Park St., Brownsville, PA on Wednesday from 2 - 8 PM and Thursday until 9:30 AM when a prayer service will be held followed by Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in the Historic Church of St. Peter, Brownsville, PA with the Rev.
