Obituary for Mildred M. "Millie" Petro (Lagina)

Mildred M. (Millie) Petro, age 87, of Brownsville, PA passed away on Friday, February 9, 2018 at her home with her beloved daughter, Bernadette "Bunny" Fani at her side.

She was born on June 13, 1930 in Brownsville, PA
Daughter of the late Andrew and Filipina (Grizinic) Lagina, Sr.

Millie was a member of the former St. Mary's R.C. Church of Brownsville, PA and currently a member of The Historic Church of St. Peter in Brownsville, PA.

She was employed as a custodian and was retired from The Brownsville Area School District.

Mildred was preceded in death by 5 brothers: Anthony Barak, Andrew Lagina, Joseph Lagina, John Lagina, and Leonard Lagina.
Sister: Mary Barak and an infant sister, Josephine

She is survived by her loving daughter: Bernadette "Bunny" Fani - Oliver, PA
Granddaughter: Danielle Fani - Oliver, PA
2 great-grandchildren: Christian Chase Horwat and Natalya Nicole Kmetz
Sister: Josephine Lagina - Brownsville, PA
2 Brothers: Charles Barak - Ohio
George Lagina - CA
Also survived by several other nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in The Skirpan Funeral Home 135 Park Street Brownsville, PA on Monday evening from 5:00PM until 8:00PM and on Tuesday until 10:30AM where a prayer service will be held followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00AM at The Historic Church of St. Peter - Brownsville, PA with The Rev. Fr. Timothy J. Kruthaupt as celebrant. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park.
