Charles A. Hughes, Sr. age 85 of Allison, PA passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 in the Uniontown Hospital with his son by his side.
Charles was born on December 17, 1930 in Merrittstown, PA to the late Charles Hughes and Jane Friend.
He graduated from Brownsville High School in 1948.
Chuck was the owner and operator of the former Cutter Bit Service of Allison. He was the former Fire Chief of the Allison #2 Fire Department for many years. He coached the Allison #1 Little Baseball League teams. He was a protestant by faith and belonged to the Allison Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife Charlotte Chambers Hughes whom he married on June 28, 1952.

Charlene Hughes of Quaker Hill, CT
William Hughes and wife Joyce of Allison, PA
Charles Hughes and wife Charla of Fresno, CA
eleven grandchildren: Jordan and Jason Menni

Sr. Airman Brandon Hughes
Alexis Hughes
Charlton, Charlie, Chase and Chandler Hughes
Sister-in-laws, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and his beloved dog, Buddy.

Friends will be received in the Skirpan Funeral Home 135 Park St. Brownsville, PA on Monday, December 28, 2015 from 2 - 8PM. Where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00AM with the Rev. Michael Peton officiating. Interment at Lafayette Memorial Park. The family wishes to express a special thank-you to Mike Clark for all your help with their father.
